March Favourites

Monday 11 April 2016

March where did you go I feel as though I blinked and you were gone! It has been a super hectic month for me as I have my wedding coming up at the end of this week (bites nails) and I have been trying to get everything organised for that, working full time as well as trying to put something out on my social media and here on my blog. So on with my monthly favourites for the month of March and I have been using a few new things this month so lets jump on into them...

So first up I want to talk about the Medik8 Pore Refining Cleansing Gel, I picked this up a couple of months ago now from my local beauty salon as it was recommended to me to try and help clear up my skin before my wedding day and this is also when I was told about double cleansing and the benefits from it. I spoke a little about double cleansing in my Sephora Cleanser post so pop on over there if you want to know a bit more about it. I have been loving this cleanser and have noticed that my skin is looking clearer and less congested then when I first started using it. I am not all up on skincare and the ingredients but I do believe the L-Mandelic Acid in this cleansing gel is suppose to have the same affect as Gylcolic Acid but in a much more gentler way.

I have also been adding a bit more moisture to my hair and specially the ends before the big day to make sure my hair looks alive and nice haha so for that I have been using NAK Repl Ends Leave-In Moisturiser*in it about twice a week when I wash my hair. This stuff has been doing a great job and hasn't been weighing my hair down at all or leaving it feel icky it also offers protection from heat styling if you use a straightener or blow dryer on your hair. I received this little AlphaH Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel* just before Easter and it couldn't have come at a better time (Way to much chocolate - But no regrets!), I had a few break outs and got to test this stuff out and I was super surprised with it. I applied this gel to my spots as soon as they started to pop up and pretty much over night they were reduced in size and in most cases they never actually grew a head or came to the surface. My new favourite spot treatment!

You would have seen this fragrance from Calvin Klein CK2*making its rounds recently pretty much everywhere and for good reason not only is this fragrance gender free (so it can be worn by males or females) it actually smells so good. I am really picky when it comes to fragrances and I tend to lean more toward the musky scents with vanilla in them but this one got me, I am terrible at describing scents so all I can say is it has a woody musky scent with a light floral fragrance there as well maybe like I said I'm terrible at describing fragrances just go have a sniff it is so good and it stays on me all day so that is a positive! Lady Jayne Style Guards*have been my new go to hair ties, I have pretty thin/fine hair and normal hair ties usually slip out of my hair unless I have them done up super tight and we all know what pain that causes and the headaches. These look super wired and I was a little like WTF when they arrived but if you are looking for a hair tie that wont pull your hair out and that will actually stay in place these are excellent.

Last but not least I have been addicted to a new lipstick/lip-gloss I picked up from Dior its called Dior Addict Fluid Stick Fabulous Wear High Impact Glossy Colour in Kiss Me Huh what a name! It is a gorgeous light pink lip colour that is just beautiful on the lips it applies like a gloss and has a nice glossy finish but it is super creamy on the lips and wears great.  It is not super pigmented it is more on the sheer side and just adds a wash of colour over your lips.

What has been your March standouts?

    1. They are so good, I have been loving them. I'm not positive how they will go with thick hair but they do grip really well into your hair and are a lot sturdy then you may think.
