I have never been a huge bronzer person as I was always pretty worried that I would stuff it up or add to much and look ridiculous! But as time goes on I have been venturing out of my comfort zone and reaching for a bronzer to just add a bit of colour to my pale skin...
When I received a few gorgeous products from Benefit I was so excited and couldn't wait to try them out. This was actually the first time I have tried any of the Hoola bronzer products, what a shock I know it seems every man and his dog has Benefit Hoola in their stash but I actually only purchased the powder not long after receiving the new releases. So I am here today to let you know how I went on with the Benefit Hoola products.
First up I want to talk about the ever so beloved Hoola Bronzer powder. I can understand the hype around the hoola bronzer as it it a beautiful warm matte bronzer that just adds a nice bronzed look to your skin. If like me and you are a newbie with bronzer I will say that hoola might be a safe starting point, you only need a little bit of product as it is very pigmented and I used the Benefit bronzer brush pictured to apply it over my face. If you are in the market for a great bronzer brush I really recommend the Benefit one it is super soft and easy to use it just allows you to blend the bronzer out well and picks up the product with ease.
One of the newer products is Dew The Hoola which is a liquid hoola bronzer, I was a bit unsure how I would go with this but it is super easy and quick to use. I put a little on the back of my hand then used my finger to dab it where I wanted it then just blended it out with my finger and beauty blender. It is really natural looking and super easy to use (If I can do it everyone can do it!). I would actually say that I enjoy the liquid bronzer more then the powder.
Lastly the new Hoola Zero Tanlines, now I am not a tanning person at all so I was a bit unsure how I would go with this one but I did give it a crack to see what it was like. The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't overly smelly which is great and it was pretty easy to apply. I used the little sponge applicator that is included and just went over my pale legs in circular motion and it just gave a really nice subtle glow nothing to intense which I was pretty happy about as a newbie to tanning haha.
Overall Benefit Hoola has been a great addition to my collection and I can see myself reaching for it a lot specially the dew the hoola. I know now what all the fuss is about over the powder hoola bronzer and think the liquid version will be just as much loved.
What are your thoughts on the new liquid version of the beloved Hoola bronzer? Will you be trying it out?
* Products were gifted to me for consideration, all opinions are my own and I will always give my honest opinion.

Benefit Hoola is my all time favourite bronzer. I was dubious about the new dew the hoola, but turns out I love it just as much!! Great post lovely :) xx

DeleteYou're not alone - I hadn't tried it either! I really really want to try the liquid version. I've been on an e.l.f. kick and love their powder bronzer palette!

Yay another Hoola newbie :) I haven't really tried a lot from ELF but I have tried their blushes and bronzer and they do have great products.
DeleteHoola is one of my favorite bronzers! I tried out a sample of Dew the Hoola and really liked it, I might purchase the full size x

DeleteI used to be obsessed with Hoola, but once summer comes around and I get a little bit of a tan it doesn't show up on me so much. I've just pulled it out again in the past few weeks though and I've been enjoying it as a contour! The liquid bronzer sounds amazing. xx

#tangirlproblems haha lucky I am pale as anything! The liquid is great I really didn't think I was going to love it as much as I do.
DeleteHoola is a classic for a reason, it's so easy to use and like you said, great for beginners! You really can't go wrong with Benefit, they have such amazing products. <3

Thanks Hun definitely check out the newbies :)
DeleteI love the original Hoola, but I'm very interested in the liquid version too! I've been wanting to try a liquid or cream bronzer and this seems like a great one!
ReplyDeleteAbby Talks
That is great it is well worth a look at!
DeleteI feel like I'd manage to screw up using the liquid bronzer version of Hoola, but the original powder sounds lovely! I'd love to know how it compares to something like Laguna from Nars.
ReplyDeletewww.thesundaymode.com
Haha I thought I would do the same with the liquid but it really is super easy to use. I haven't used Nars Laguna before but that would be great comparison considering they are both so hyped up.
DeleteBenefit Hoola is one of my all time favourite bronzer; such a classic. I have a deluxe sample size and it last such a long time I haven't had to purchase the full size yet. I haven't tried the liquid or cream version yet though.

That is great I always love when a product lasts a long time specially when they are on the pricey side just makes them worth it. Thanks for stopping by x
DeleteI've avoided Dew the Hoola because I'm someone that only really occasionally dips into contour now and again and it looked scary! But seeing how simple you've made it sound is definitely making me reconsider!
ReplyDeleteMusings & More
I am not a huge contour person myself nor a bronzing expert by any means and it is really so easy to use! If you can get a sample of it that would be ideal so you can a feel for it :)
DeleteI need to stop procrastinating and try that hoola bronzer already. x
ReplyDeletewww.themakeupaficionado.com
Haha Hoola really did live up to the hype in my opinion such a nice bronzer.
DeleteNever heard of this product. It sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing

I love Dew The Hoola - it looks so natural and subtle.
ReplyDeleteI am still yet to try the tan though, bit nervous cause I'm not a great tanner either lol :)
Jacquelyn | hey there jacquelyn
Yes it really is isn't it :) The tanner was pretty easy to use and as it wasn't overly dark on my pale skin I felt a bit more at ease haha

I'm still not quite a bronzer kind of girl. But when I do the who makeup shebang I do like the look of TF bronzer in Terra. Have heard so much about the Hoola but never got around to trying. Maybe someone :)
