Rimmel London Match Perfection Review

Monday 11 January 2016

Foundation review time, it feels like forever since I have reviewed a foundation but I am here today to talk about the reformulated Rimmel Match Perfection foundation and the Fix & Protect primer that they have also released at the same time. So as I just mentioned this match perfection foundation has been reformulated I wish I had tried the original for you all so I could compare them against each other but I haven't so I am just going to talk about these two products that I received and let you all know how they stood up against my oily skin...

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (True Ivory) * - I have had a good try of this foundation and had also mentioned it in my November Favourites as I have been loving the formula. I would say this foundation has a medium build-able coverage and is very light on the skin, it wore really well on my oily skin with no movement throughout the day. I got a good 10hrs wear out of this foundation with the use of the primer and it still looked pretty good at the end of the day. It contains SPF20 which is great for day time wear specially if you cannot be bothered adding sunscreen on or forget to put it on in the morning. It matched into my skin tone beautifully. I really enjoyed this foundation and loved the formula. With my oily skin it did stay on but it also got oily/shiny through my t section after a couple of hours of wear after I touched up not a problem.

Rimmel Fix & Protect Primer * - I wasn't overly fussed on this primer it does work well with the foundation but it is not a wow product for me. I really didn't notice an increase in wear or it helping to keep me oil free better then others I have tried. If you are looking for a cheaper primer this is not a bad option but as I am a bit of a primer nut I have tried so many different ones and have found others I just prefer over this one.

Overall I was really pleased with the foundation and the primer I could leave. Have you tried this new foundation?

* Products were gifted to me for consideration, all opinions are my own and I will always give my honest opinion.

    1. That it is! I was hoping for more out of the primer but it just didn't really do much for me. I am glad I am not alone on that though. Thanks for stopping by xx
