Face Baking!

Thursday 3 March 2016

There always seems to be some new trend in the beauty world just after we have mastered one the next new it thing comes out that everyone is doing and I'm hear today to talk about baking... No not cookies and cakes but face baking...

So what is baking? Baking is a new trend that has started where you let translucent powder sit on your concealer for 5 to 10 minutes to help your makeup not crease and make it look flawless. The way it is suppose to work is the heat from your face almost bakes your concealer underneath the powder and makes it set so you don't end up with creasing.

So how do you actually bake? here are a few easy steps to help you get your bake on -

1) Make sure your eye area is hydrated by using an eye cream.

2) Apply a thick concealer (I have been using the Nude by Nature Liquid Mineral Concealer) in upwards motion then blend out with a damp makeup sponge.

3) Set with translucent powder (I have been using and loving the Nude by Nature Mineral Finishing Veil) then with a damp makeup sponge pick up more product and cake that stuff on! now leave for 5-10 minutes.

4) Dust off excess powder and your concealer should be ceaseless, flawless and set/baked to perfection.

If you are looking at giving this ago the two Nude by Nature products I have mentioned above work great together also the powder is just an overall great setting powder as well. What are your thoughts on this whole face baking trend? Personally I love the way it turns out when I want a full coverage look but on an everyday basis I do not have time for it.

* Products were gifted to me for consideration, all opinions are my own and I will always give my honest opinion.

  9. Literally every single beauty vlogger I watch/follow does this but I just haven't been game enough to try it myself - plus it such a waste of powder in my opinion (Laura Mercier Translucent settiing powder does NOT come on the cheap!) Maybe just maybe I can give this ago on my next night out haha, you made it sound incredibly easy! xx

  11. It's something that requires peace and extra time, not something I would do on a daily basis. I remember the first time I tried it n my husband walked in, he had a hysterical laugh at me lol. But none-the-less love the final result.
