April Favourites

Friday 6 May 2016

Well what a month April has been for me not only did I try out a few new beauty bits I also married my now husband (still getting used to saying that). I will not go into much detail about my wedding and how I'm a Mrs now and everything (haha) as I am thinking about doing a separate post just for that not to bore the people who come here just to read about beauty. So now onto the beauty highlights in April...

First up makeup removers I have been loving the Makeup Eraser has been the no fuss makeup remover that I have been loving for those nights when I really don't want to be standing at the basin removing my makeup but still get effective removal of my makeup and quickly. Otherwise I have been using the Alpha H Balancing Cleanser which is a gorgeous product it is super gentle and creamy and is a just a lovely product to use. I spoke more about these two here on my post about Sephora's cleansers.

Up next another skincare item this time a facial serum from ASAP, I started incorporating the ASAP Super B Complex serum into my skincare routine in late March to bring my skin up to scratch before my wedding and I am pleased to say that I think it did a great job. My skin looked great and very plump, hydrated and almost naturally glowy. A deodorant favourite would have to be the Rexona Clinical Protection, now I'm not a overly sweaty person but what I like most about this deodorant is that you apply it at night so it has time to sink in and I never once had any white marks or had to wait for it to dry in the morning it was just a huge time saver and also kept me dry.

Oral B 3D White Strips Advanced Seal, these new anti slip white strips are awesome they actually do stay in place are so easy to use and don't have that awful taste most whitening strips have. I haven't been using these daily but just every now and then when I remember I have them haha but I have noticed a very slight difference in the shade of my teeth.

Last but not least I have been on a serious long lasting non transferring lipstick hunt of late. It started out just trying to finding a lipstick for my wedding that would last a long time and wouldn't transfer onto my husband but now I'm like almost obsessed haha two of my current faves are MAC's Unchanging (this is the colour I chose to wear on my wedding day) and L'Oreal's Permanent Blush.

If you have a suggestion on a great long lasting non transferring lipstick please do leave me a comment below :)

  2. I've never tried white strips but those one do sound quite good, I'm always worried that things like that will be too harsh on my teeth though!

  7. I was looking for a whitening kit for quite some time now, I tried oil pulling and the results are visible but take forever, I want something quicker and more efficient. I will search for the Oral B white strips and try them!.:)
