July Favourites

Tuesday 9 August 2016

I'm Late! I know! yet again I have been a bad blogger and will be uploading this July favourites late and in August. I have had a fair bit on and just lost a bit of inspiration as a lot of people do. But I am back and trying to get back into the swing of things and get some posts up for you all. So without further delay here is what I have been using and loving in the month of July...

First up the gorgeous Benefit products I was so kindly sent the Dew the Hoola* and Dandelion Dew* which are both liquid versions of the powders everyone loves. I have a few posts lined up to talk about these a bit more into detail but I will say they have defiantly been a favourite. I didn't think I would like the liquid versions very much as I get a bit intimated with things I am not used to using, but these two products are super easy and quick to use and have been a go to for me daily.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser (Oil Free) I picked up last month and have been using non stop it has a great coverage for a tinted moisturiser. You cannot feel it on your skin and it sinks in so well that you can hardly tell you have it on which I love for daily wear. I would say it has a nice light to medium coverage and it it gives a nice glowy finish. I have been topping it with the Laura Mercier Loose Finishing Powder to make sure it stays put during the day. The powder that is so highly raved about has been really nice and as it is very light it goes on well and doesn't leave you looking cakey at all. I have been using a primer and a finishing spray with these two products and it has been coming out perfectly and a much loved combo for me for daily wear.

Another bronzer that has been used a lot last month was the Dusty Girls Bronzer*, this bronzer is super pigmented and you only need a very minimal amount on your brush but it blends out nicely and looks great on. It isn't a matte bronzer so it does have a bit of a shimmer in it so you will get a nice glow once applied but it doesn't leave you looking like a disco ball. I think this is going to be a great one for summer. Rimmel brought out the Rimmel Moisture Sheer & Shine Lipsticks* that I posted about here. They have been a go to for me of late as I love the formula and the sheer tint that they leave. Last but not least I have been using and loving the little brow trio from Booki Brows* it has two brow powders and a highlight in it and the powder is super fine and smooth so it makes it a pleasure and an ease to apply and fill in my brows. The brushes that I received with the brow powders have also been fantastic to use and I cannot fault this brow powder at all.

Sorry again for my lack of posts and this late favourites. I would love to know what you were loving in the month of July so please leave me a comment below.

* Products were gifted to me for consideration, all opinions are my own and I will always give my honest opinion.

  1. I don't do monthly favourites for the reason that I cannot commit to sit down and write what I have been loving at the end of each month, I find it so difficult haha! Great picks :)

    1. Thank you Hun, I actually really enjoy doing the monthly faves but I can understand where you are coming from as it can be a bit daunting to try and narrow down a few products or find products to include.

  8. I really need to try that Laura Mercier powder!!! Everyone raves about it! Where did you purchase yours? I totally get what you mean about motivation! I feel that I have felt motivated, with lots of ideas but I get really stressed out sometimes when my content isn't up to scratch or photos don't come out the way I want and I will refrain from putting up a post when that happens. Great faves!

    1. I got mine from Adore beauty. Thanks Sarah, I have had lots of ideas and products to talk about but it has just been really hard to find time to actually sit down and write everything up and I am the same as you if it isn't up to scratch I get frustrated and cannot put it up. I am hoping to try and get myself into gear and get back into it!
