Maybelline In The Nude Palette's

Thursday 27 October 2016

Today I am talking about the Maybelline In The Nude eye shadow palettes. There is two palettes in this collection one being the nudes which has your browns and cream colours and the other is the blushed nudes which is more of rose/pink shades. So how did they go? and are they worth your money? keep on reading to find out my opinion on these two palettes...

I have swatched both palettes above so you can see the shades and also how pigmented or lack of pigment the shades have. I found that the original in the nude palette was much more pigmented then the blushed nudes and as you can see the first four shades in the blushed nudes are barely noticeable. The eye shadows however are pretty creamy and easy to use but they do have a bit of fall out when applied. One thing I did notice is that the shimmer shades seem to be a bit more pigmented then the mattes, and the mattes were a bit patchy with a light swipe. The shade range is nice and I would have to say the original in the nudes would be my favourite out of the two, the pigmentation of the shades is much better then the blushed palette.

Overall for a drug store option the in the nudes palette is not overly bad but I really wouldn't spend my  money on the blushed palette unless you are looking for something with a bit less pigmentation. These palettes retail for around $25.95 AUD.

Have you tried either of these palettes? What are your thoughts?

  2. These palettes would've been something I'd have loved when I was younger but now I have so many neutral palettes that I feel like I'm pretty set when it comes to those kinds of shadows! I think this is a brilliant drugstore option though.

    1. Yes I couldn't agree with you more, I have so many natural eye shadow palettes it is a bit ridiculous. These are a great option for drugstore though.

  3. I used to have the Nudes palette and I never reached for it. The darkest matte brown shade is a good eyebrow color for me but I didn't really like the rest of the palette to be honest!

  4. I think I prefer the look of the shades in the Blushed Nudes Palette, although the lack of pigmentation is really disappointing! x
